Applications for our 2023 Scholarship program will be opening soon. Eligible applicants must be current high school seniors living in Cranford intending to attend a 2- or 4-year college, or seniors and recent graduates planning to attend a Trade/Vocational school.

Scholarships are awarded based on:

  • Community service
  • Character/leadership qualities
  • Acceptable academic achievement

Applications for both are due March 31st. For more details and to apply, visit the scholarship pages:

The Jaycees are taking part in the townwide clean-up of the Rahway River. Volunteers are welcome! The Township is providing garbage bags, tools, and disposable gloves, although volunteers are encouraged to bring their own tools, gloves, and a reusable water bottle if they wish. The meetup and collection locations are:

  • Kenilworth Blvd
  • End of Riverside Drive @ Nomahegan
  • Riverside Drive/Balmier Pkwy Footbridge
  • Hampton Park
  • Sperry Park
  • Droescher's Mill
  • High St Footbridge

  • Mohawk Park

Volunteers should dress appropriately for walking alongside the wooded and muddy areas along the river and should not enter the river at any time while keeping a recommended distance of at least eight feet from the river's edge. Children should be supervised by an adult at all times. Please reach out to cranfordrivercleanup@gmail.com with any questions.
